Neal Carter has been the head of staff since 2004. His interests range from preaching and worship to working in the community, connecting the church to the larger society. He has a special interest in apocalyptic literature.
Neal received his M.Div. and Th. M. from Duke Divinity School and his D. Min. from Princeton Theological Seminary. Serving the denomination, Neal has served on the Committee On Ministry, helped at St. Andrews Presbyterian College with the chaplain’s office and as an adjunct instructor. In 2010, he represented the Presbytery of Coastal Carolina at the General Assembly in Minneapolis, MN.
Neal has a wife, Debbie, who is an elementary school teacher, and a daughter, Candace, who is a student at UNC-Chapel Hill. Neal likes to ride his mountain bike, play guitar, read, travel, and take walks with his family. He is also a Duke fan.

Elizabeth Forester was called as the Associate Pastor of Laurinburg Presbyterian Church in l998. She taught in the public school system prior to entering seminary. Elizabeth received a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia, in l991. At Laurinburg Presbyterian, Elizabeth’s areas of ministry include Pastoral Care, Christian Education, Deacons and Stephen Ministry. Her service to presbytery and her work in the local community are an important part of her ministry. Elizabeth enjoys deep friendships, good books, inspiring movies, all kinds of music, the great outdoors. Elizabeth has three adult children: John (Jennifer); Ginny (Greg); Kate (Nate), and five grandchildren: Joshua, Jacob, Jack, Shannon and Drew. |

W. Legette McLean-- LeGette began as Business Manager in 2006 after retiring as Plant Manager of Kordsa USA, a local manufacturing plant; having served previously as Manager of Finance for approximately 25 years. LeGette and his wife Charlotte have two daughters, Anne M. Caudill and Marie M. Tracy and two grandsons, John Alec and Daniel Caudill. LeGette enjoys spending time with his family, reading, walking and playing the guitar and harmonica. He is also a Carolina fan! |

Lu Kimrey Fowler joined the staff of Laurinburg Presbyterian Church in November 2009. She has eleven years experience in a church office. She brings creativity, energy, and a heart for missions to LPC. Lu received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Lu is the mother of Katie, a nursing student in Charlotte. Lu’s interests vary from floral arranging and gardening, to reading, listening to a variety of music, and watching sports. She is an avid Clemson fan. |

José Rivera is coordinator of Music Education, Assistant Professor of Choral Music, and Conductor of the University Chorale at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. At UNCP he teaches conducting, rehearsal and vocal techniques, and supervises student teachers. Previously, he was on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and served as a clinician for numerous workshops, honor choirs, and clinics around the country. Rivera received his Ph.D. and M.M.E. degrees in Music Education and Conducting from Florida State University. During his tenure in Florida, he was a successful public music teacher at the elementary, middle, and high school levels where his advanced choirs received various regional and national awards. He has served as director at Kingo Lutheran Church in Milwaukee, WI; Christ Presbyterian Church in Tallahassee, FL; and was also tenor soloist at First Presbyterian Church in Thomasville, GA. He enjoys cooking, jogging, biking, fishing, and racquet ball. |

Camille DeVaney has been music director/organist since April 1996. She received her Bachelor of Music Education from Southern Arkansas University and her Masters of Arts in Music Education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She is also and adjunct professor at UNCP where she teachers organ, music appreciation, and church music. Camille’s family includes: husband, Chuck, her daughter, Adrienne Queen, son-in-law, Sean Queen, son, Keith, and two grandchildren, Henley and Morgan. Camille enjoys spending time with her family. |
